Super Bowl

In the recent Superbowl there was a mighty clash between two titans. The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers battled it out in Texas Stadium. Kickoff was at 5:30 p.m. central time in Dallas, Texas on Sunday. The Steelers had a division win coming into the playoffs this year from the AFC North. In the second round of the playoffs they beat the Baltimore Ravens and then the New York Jets in the proceeding week in the AFC Championship. The Green Bay Packers on the other hand got into the playoffs with the sixth seed wild card spot, a road very unwanted to travel... But the Packers fought on and beat the Philadelphia Eagles, the Atlanta Falcons, and the Chicago Bears to earn their spot in the BIG GAME. As you may or may not know, the Packers won the Superbowl on Sunday. It was their fourth Superbowl win and it was the first time they were the complete underdog. The last time they won was in 1994 when Brett Farve lead them to a crushing Victory over the New England Patriots. Just as Brett Farve lead his team, Quarterback Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers lead his team this year and won the Super Bowl MVP award. Rodgers took over the organization in 2008 from, you guessed it, Brett Farve. From playing Football since I was a child and knowledge that I've gained from my father, (a Football Coach of 21 years, college and high school), I have concluded that Rodgers is a new and uprising Quarterback that will keep growing not only as a player, but as a leader. I can also say that Sunday's game is not the only Super Bowl he will be in. And because of my experience, I believe it is safe to say, GO PACK!
